Adding a zip tie to help pass the cable through the hood latch hole

This helps to pull it through. In my case I even had to put the side hood latches down to help me get a little more cable through the hole

It won't be very noticeable unless you are studying the front end or trying to steal stuff from my Jeep ;-)

It's very hard to pass this cable down through the hole the hood latch passes through, which is why you'll see my next step is required for my setup


Passing the wire rope through the hood

Pretty easy, needle nose pliers can help too if you have trouble


Use one of the wire rope clamps to secure the cable

You may have to adjust the overall hoop length later after some trial and error. I barely bought enough cable for this project. I recommend at least 2.5 feet, I got by with only 2 feet of cable. The cable is coated and costs about $1
